I ‘M RESPONDING TO TREATMENT SAYS ACE ACTOR OF COCK CROW AT DAWN, SADIQ DABA

IKEJA, Lagos– Nigerian ace actor reputed for his famous role Bitrus in the soap, Cock Crow At Dawn, Sadiq Abubakar Daba is down with leukemia(Cancer of the blood).

Writing on his facebook page, the veteran actor acknowledged that he is sick with the ailment but that he is responding to treatment.

“Gwen, I am not dead nor dying I!! God has been and will Always be faithful to me and my plight, because that is my covenant with Him !!!!

“My doctors have been wonderful and I am responding to treatment. …..my love and thanks to all those who have called to sympathize and empathize with me…..God bless you !!!!!!”he wrote
Sadiq Daba also featured in popular Nigerian soaps like ‘Behind the Clouds’ and ‘A Place like Home’, ‘Soweto’, and ‘Moment of Truth’.

A Widely travelled actor, director and producer, he was educated at the St. Edwards College, Sierra Leone, NTA/TV College, ABU: Mass Communication and later went on training tours to Germany, U.K.
He started his career as a news reader, reporter, editor at RKTV (Radio Television Kaduna. He was also at NTV/NTA Sokoto, NTPC Lagos, NTA Lagos.

He was best actor at the African Movie Academy Award in 2015. In 2016, he and the late Bukky Ajayi won Industry Merit Award at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA)put together by Multichoice. He was not available to receive the award.
