LONDON TERROR ATTACK: U.S VOWS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO U.K ON REQUEST
WASHINGTON, United States – The United States of America has promised to provide assistance that the United Kingdom may request following terror attack in London last night.
At least 7 civilians and 3 terrorists were killed when terrorists attacked London bridge and Borough Market.
This is the third time terrorists will be hitting London this year. The first was Westminster in March. Two people were killed and 20 others were injured, followed by May 29 attack at Manchester, during which 22 people were killed and 59 others were injured in a concert put together by Ariana Grande.
In a statement, Spokesperson, Department of State, Heather Nauert said the United States condemns the cowardly attacks targeting innocent civilians in London this evening.
“We understand U.K. police are currently treating these as terrorist incidents. The United States stands ready to provide any assistance authorities in the United Kingdom may request.
“Our hearts are with the families and loved ones of the victims. We wish a full and quick recovery to those injured in the attacks. All Americans stand in solidarity with the people of the United Kingdom”, he said.
