BUHARI SACKS, EKPO NTA, ICPC CHAIRMAN
The chairman was on Tuesday ordered by the President to proceed on compulsory leave.
A letter to this effect conveyed to him indicated that he will proceed on compulsory leave with effect from October, 26, 2016.
According to Vanguard, the Chairman had ignored two letters from the office of the SGF informing him to proceed on compulsory leave.
Nta was appointed by former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in 2011 for a six year tenure that would lapse November 17, 2017.
The Chairman expected is to formally inform staff of the commission about his formal exit today.
The ICPC boss may have been sacked for petitions leveled against him by politicians and for shielding some corrupt politicians from prosecution.
