London, Sept, 19, 2016 – Two men, age 20 and 24 have been arrested by detectives for the fatal shooting of Annie Besala Ekofo(53), and her nephew, Bervil Kalikaka-Ekofo(21) at Elmshurst Crescent, London.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 06:25hrs on Thursday, 15 September, to reports of two people injured at an address in Elmshurst Crescent, N2, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

It added that officers attended the address and found Annie, 53 and her 21-year-old nephew suffering from gunshot injuries and that both were pronounced dead at the scene.

“Four other people, including a child, who were also inside the address at the time were not harmed. The post-mortem examination for Bervil Kalikaka-Ekofo, was conducted on Saturday, 17 September at Northwick Park Hospital Mortuary. The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head”, the statement added even as it awaits a post-mortem on Annie.

The police said a 20-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, 17 September and has subsequently been released on bail to a date in late October, while the second man, aged 24 was arrested on Sunday, 18 September and is currently in custody at a north London Police Station.
