Massachusetts, Sept., 16, 2016 – Efrain Vasquez-Yanez, an alleged member of the MS-13 gang, charged with RICO conspiracy and conspiracy to distribute cocaine, has been arrested.
MS-13 FUGITIVE, EFRAIN VASQUEZ-YANEZ ARRESTED
The Massachusetts State Police’s Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Pittsfield, Massachusetts Police Department took Vasquez-Yanez into custody without incident on Thursday morning at approximately 8:25 a.m. after the Massachusetts State Police developed information that Vasquez-Yanez had a connection to that area.
On January 26, 2016, Vasquez-Yanez was indicted in U.S. District Court in Boston, Massachusetts as “FNU, LNU,” also known as “Caballo,” along with 55 other members and close associates of La Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13).
Last week, the FBI’s North Shore Gang Task Force announced a reward up to $20,000 for information leading to his arrest. However, no reward money will have to be paid out.
