May 31, 2016 – Organizers of the European Solar Prize say the deadline for submission of entries for award being held for the 23rd time has been extended to 15 June 2016.

The Solar Prize is given to pioneers and leaders that have demonstrated realistic and practicable use of renewable energy .
“The call for nominations focuses on actors of a decentralized and citizen-orientated energy transition and addresses towns, council districts, companies, associations/organizations, initiatives and private persons”, the organizers said.
Applications and proposals for innovative and successful projects and initiatives can be submitted until 15 June 2016 via e-mail to [email protected], via an online-form or by post.
It added that winners of the European Solar Prize 2016 will be chosen by a qualified jury and celebrated at a festive gathering this November in Barcelona.
