Nigeria, April 5, 2016 – Nigerians are currently experiencing the worst form of fuel scarcity since the birth of the nation. It is fuel scarcity too many, that disappointed Nigerians say has overwhelmed those saddled with responsibility of managing the economy.

Among those on the queue are pregnant women, nursing mothers, young men, ladies, the elderly, workers, petty traders, barbers, hair dressers, vulcanises and many other artisans.
But while many in these categories suffer, spending over six hours to get the product where they are lucky, managers of petrol stations are obviously smiling to the banks.

Investigation has revealed that some make as much of N800,000 per month from hoarding and diverting the product into plastic cans which later land in the black markets.
Luck however ran out one and his assistant today when officials of the Lagos State crime fighting outfit, Rapid Response Squad(RRS) stormed one of the Oando petrol stations, after Capital Oil by Sir Michael Otedola Estate on the Lagos Ibadan Expressway and discovered tens of plastic kegs of various sizes belonging to the manager, while many are on queues waiting endlessly for the product.
He was promptly arrested to serve as deterrent to others.
