Lagos, Nigeria, March 10, 2016 – Ahead of its official presentation to the public and sensitization of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) on its role and mandate within the next three weeks, the Lagos State Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment (Lagos Global) has adopted a project proposal template.

Special Adviser to the Governor, Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment, Prof. Ademola Abass, disclosed this at a media chat on preparation of the official presentation.
Speaking through the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Yakub Olajide Basorun, the Special Adviser said that the template was important to allow for the smooth transition of investor’s proposals in the agency which was created by the present administration to enhance the ease of doing business in the state.
He further said that the adoption of business process documentation will streamline internal working process of the office for effectiveness and efficiency, describing it as another measure taken to ensure resourceful dispensation of business proposals in Lagos.
The SA stressed that the format was one of measures taken to ensure prompt, objective and effective dispatch of investment proposals.
“As a one-stop-shop for investment, we work closely with investors and partners to ensure that Lagos’ investment presence is felt in major and emerging economies as well as diplomatic missions worldwide.
“As a functional megacity, Lagos has attracted investment proposals in various sectors including commerce and industry, water transportation, education, power, tourism, infrastructure and health among others”, he said
He said that efforts are on to sensitise Public Servants in the State to further help disseminate information, especially to the Diplomatic Community and Business World on the essence of its operation as well as unveil its official website later in the month.
