Anti-Terror Cops Swoop on North London Suspects After ‘Appalling’ Attack on Life-Saving Fleet
By SCM REPORTER I Wednesday, 25 March 2026
COUNTER-TERROR detectives have arrested two men following a “vile” arson attack on a Jewish volunteer ambulance service.
In a dawn raid this morning, specialist officers swooped on addresses in North West and Central London. The suspects, aged 47 and 45, were nicked on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
The arrests come just 48 hours after four life-saving Hatzola ambulances were torched in the heart of Golders Green. The volunteer-led service, which serves the local Jewish community, was left reeling after the fleet was set ablaze at 1:35 AM on Monday.
Despite the breakthrough, Scotland Yard warns that the hunt is still on for at least one more suspect.
Commander Helen Flanagan, Head of London’s Counter Terrorism Policing, said:
”CCTV footage suggests there were at least three people involved. Our investigation remains active and we will continue to work to identify all those involved.”
Steel Ring Around London
As tensions simmer, police have launched a “bespoke” security plan to protect vulnerable areas across the capital. Londoners can expect to see highly visible armed patrols at key locations in the coming weeks.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams sought to reassure the public, stating that while the beefed-up security is “precautionary,” officers are working around the clock to deter anyone seeking to cause harm.
Both suspects remain in custody at a London police station while forensic teams continue to scour the raided properties.
