[wysija_form id=”1″]March 21, 2015 – Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola has named the Shoguro Estate, Ogba after the Late Pa Anthony Enahoro reputed to have raised the motion for Nigeria’s independence in parliament.

The Estate is made up of 20 blocks of 240 units of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms.
Speaking at the event, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola described the project as another way of responding to the housing needs of residents adding that at least 5000 direct and indirect jobs were provided when construction was in progress and that 13 firms were involved.
He said the Lagos State Government is ready to work with the private sector to provide affordable houses for residents of the state.
He said the houses were provided with income generated from taxes. Earlier, Executive Secretary Ojodu Local Council Development Area, Mallam Moyosore Jaji who is also a beneficiary of the scheme thanked the governor for the housing estate.
He said the area was before now a secondary school plagued with perennial flood and that he is one of the 15 families that were evacuated and later absolved in the new housing scheme.
Brother to the Late Enahoro, Pa Michael Enahoro who was at the occasion thanked the governor for naming the estate after his late brother.
Enahoro who said he did not give the governor a chance when he was introduced to him in London before the election said he has watched ongoing campaign of the APC in Agege.
“Of everybody that spoke there, you are the best. Why are you not the one running for the President”, he queried.
