OIC holds consultation in support of rights of Palestinians

JEDDAH – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, OIC will soon convene a meeting of members to strengthen the resilience of the Palestinians in support for their quest for sovereignty.
To this end, Secretary General of the OIC, Hissein Brahim Taha
held discussions with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Gambia, whose country chairs the current session of the Islamic Summit Conference, and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cameroon, Chairman of the current session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
During the meeting, he discussed the serious developments taking place in the Palestinian cause in light of US President Donald Trump’s statements regarding the control of the Gaza Strip and the deportation of Palestinian citizens from their land.
They consulted on convening the upcoming ministerial meeting to reaffirm the OIC’s unwavering position and absolute commitment to supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and strengthening their resilience on their land in the face of Israeli occupation policies rooted in aggression, settlement, displacement, and ethnic cleansing.
