Israel killed 238 Palestinians, injured 623 in 7 days as total casualty hits 47,410 – OIC observatory

JEDDAH – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has killed not less than 238 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in just one week, while 623 others have been injured; the Organisation for Islamic Cooperation, OIC has said in its weekly media observatory report.
According to the OIC, Israeli attacks varied depending on the area of target. The OIC said the IDF carried out a total of 21 operational massacres during which a total of 238 Palestinians where killed while 623 others were injured during the period between January 7-13, 2025.
According to the report, total number of Palestinians murdered from October 7, 2023, to January 12, 2025 now stands at 47,410 Palestinians, while the number of injured for the same period reached 116,360 wounded.
The report noted that in the Gaza Strip alone, the Israeli occupation forces assassinated journalist Saed Nabhan at a camp in Nuseirat, adding that the Israeli bombardment – in one week – extended to all areas of northern and central Gaza, where the occupation army bombed three schools; (Arbikan, Zainab Al-Wazir and Salah Al-Din) in Jabalia and west of Gaza City, and murdered an entire family in Al-Nuseirat camp, and targeted civilians several times in Jabalia, Al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood, Deir Al-Balah, and Al-Firdous area in Al-Mawasi.
“The occupation forces also continued to blow up buildings around Kamal Adwan Hospital and in the Beit Lahia project and infrastructure and buildings in Deir Al-Balah at a time when most of the buildings in Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, and Beit Lahia were completely destroyed, and many tents of the displaced in the Gaza Strip were flooded due to heavy rains.
“The hospitals in the Gaza Strip issued an urgent appeal to provide them with more fuel. At the same time, the occupation forces evacuated the Indonesian Hospital, and besieged and bombed Al-Awda Hospital.
“On the other hand, the Palestinian Civil Defense announced the breakdown of many of its mechanisms, in addition to the cessation of its services in many areas of the Gaza Strip, while the Ministry of Health announced that the Israeli bombing of Palestinian civilians is concentrated at night, making it difficult to send rescue teams. The Israeli Navy continued to pursue Palestinian fishermen in the Deir al-Balah Sea during the past week and arrested a number of them.
“In the West Bank and occupied al-Quds, the town of Tamoun was bombed by a drone, during which three Palestinians were murdered, including two children. The occupation army also demolished six houses in occupied al-Quds, Qalqilya, and Salfit, blew up another in Tulkarm, and occupied a house in Ramallah. The occupation forces and settlers also destroyed and burned dozens of barns for various uses and tents in Nablus, al-Quds, Ramallah, and Bethlehem.
“The occupation forces bulldozed agricultural lands and uprooted trees in Nablus and Bethlehem, while preventing farmers from plowing their lands in Jericho. They also confiscated a bulldozer in Salfit.
”In the same context, the occupation authorities confiscated an area of 262 dunums of land from the towns of al-Ram and Kafr Aqab and the villages of Mikhmas and Jaba, in favor of expanding the settlement Road 45. The number of settlement activities during one week reached five activities during which the occupation authorities in al-Quds announced the start of implementing the “Silicon Valley” settlement project in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in Jerusalem, which threatens to demolish about 200 Palestinian facilities and confiscate 2,000 dunums of Palestinian land”, the report noted adding that settlers plowed Palestinian agricultural lands in the villages of Jenin and Tubas in preparation for cultivating and seizing them.
“The settlers also began paving a new settlement road between Khirbet Tana, located east of the town of Beit Furik in the Nablus Governorate, and the central Awar area. Other settlers placed caravans on Palestinian lands near the “Baq’ot” settlement, east of the town of Tamoun, in an attempt to establish a new settlement outpost.
“The number of attacks carried out by settlers on West Bank villages over the past seven days reached 56, where some of them robbed a truck in Nablus and seized both the truck and its load of livestock. Others attacked Palestinian homes on various occasions, smashing windows and burning cars in Tulkarm and Nablus, and other groups bulldozed Palestinian lands under the pretext of vandalism in the villages of Bethlehem.
“The education sector was not spared from Israeli attacks, as settlers accompanied by occupation forces stormed the Bardala village school in Tubas, under the pretext that a settler was stoned, and attacked those in the school, which resulted in bruises for two students. On another day, occupation forces stormed the Kisan village school, assaulted teachers and students, and fired tear gas canisters at the school, bringing the number of Israeli crimes in one week to 2,401 crimes”.
