IKOYI – Do you know that you can still bury your loved ones at the popular Ikoyi/Obalende Cemetery even though you are not wealthy.

Mr. Hakeem, who manages the Cemetery in behalf of the Ikoyi Obalende Council said two options are available depending on what you can afford.

His office is in the Cemetery left once you enter, the side where you have FRCN and other Federal Government, not the Doddan Barracks side.

Requirement: Photocopy of Death certificate a must

He said two options are available.

1. Permanent vault. They will build it with blocks and tiles plus government fee and C of O.
Total amount: N1.5 million

Option 2: Temporary but ordinary burial. Here if someone is buried after some time the corpse can be removed and another person buried in the space. No CofO.

Amount: N200,000

All payments are to be made in the office. You will also be issued a receipt and a form to fill for the permanent one.

Parking on the day of burial on sidewalks is N1000 per car.
