We must remember that America is bigger than the result of any one election and what we as citizens do now will make the difference between a nation that moves forward or the one that falls back. We need to solve our problems and seize our opportunities together. The future our country depends on it – Clinton

WASHINGTON – Two former presidents of the United States and their wives, Mr. Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and Mr. Bill Clinton, his wife Hilary and President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky have congratulated Mr. Donald Trump for his historic victory in the general elections in the United States.
The world leaders gave their messages in separate chats on X shortly after the results emerged that the former president and Republican candidate, Donald Trump won the election.
In a joint statement, Barack and Michelle Obama said millions of Americans cast their votes not just for president but for leaders at every level. “Now the results are in, and we want to congratulate President Trump and Senator Vance on their victory”, he said, stressing the results is obviously not what was expected.
“Over the last few weeks and through elections day, millions of Americans cast their votes – not just for president but for leaders at every level. Now the results are in, and we want to congratulate President Trump and Senator Vance on their victory.
“This is obviously not the outcome we had hoped for, given our profound disagreements with the Republican ticket on a whole host of issues. But living in a democracy is about recognizing that our point of view won’t always win out, and being willing to accept the peaceful transfer of power.
“Michelle and I could not be prouder of Vice President Harris and Governor Waltz, two extraordinary public servants who ran a remarkable campaign. And we will always be grateful to the staff and volunteers who poured their hearts and soul into electing public servants they truly believed in….
“In a country as big and diverse as ours, we won’t always see eye-to-eye on everything but progress requires us to extend good faith and grace –even to the people with whom we deeply disagree. That is how we have come this far, and its how well we will keep building a country that is more fair, more just, more equal and more free”, the former first family said.
Mr. Bill Clinton and his wife Hilary, wished Trump and Vance well, hoping he will govern for all Americans”, stressing that American is bigger than the result of one election and that what citizens do will determine whether American will move forward or fall back.
“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz ran a positive, forward looking campaign to be proud of. The American people have voted and Donald Trump and JD Vance will be the next President and Vice President of the United States. We wish them well and hope they will govern for all of us.
“We must remember that America is bigger than the result of any one election and what we as citizens do now will make the difference between a nation that moves forward or the one that falls back. We need to solve our problems and seize our opportunities together. The future our country depends on it”.
President Volodymyrs Zelenskyy of Ukraine called Trump and congratulated him on the historic win.
“I had an excellent call with President @realDonaldTrump and congratulated him on his historic landslide victory—his tremendous campaign made this result possible. I praised his family and team for their great work. We agreed to maintain close dialogue and advance our cooperation. Strong and unwavering U.S. leadership is vital for the world and for a just peace”, he said.
