Hon. Chike Okafor distributes fertilizer across Okigwe South to boost agriculture

OKIGWE, Imo – Rt. Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, the member representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has led the distribution of Federal Government fertilizer palliatives to farmers in Obowo, Ihitte-Uboma, and Ehime-Mbano Local Government Areas.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance agricultural productivity, reflecting Okafor’s commitment to food security and economic growth in his constituency.
Supervised by the Executive Chairmen of each LGA, the distribution was conducted to ensure fairness and target legitimate farmers.
Executive Chairman of Obowo LGA, Hon. Barr. Obioma Ehirim, commended Okafor’s dedication, highlighting the anticipated impact on agricultural productivity in the region.
Similar praises were echoed by the Chairmen of Ehime-Mbano and Ihitte-Uboma LGAs, who acknowledged the role of these federal resources in preparing farmers for the next planting season, expected to bring higher yields.
In a statement delivered by his aide, Hon. Charles Uwadoka, Okafor expressed satisfaction with the distribution process and reiterated his commitment to empowering farmers across Okigwe South.
Traditional leaders and representatives from various wards attended the event, applauding Okafor’s ongoing efforts to uplift local agriculture.
