Blinken to Netanyahu: You killed Sinwar, secure release of captives, end Gaza bloodshed now

TEL AVIV – Secretary of State, Antony Blinken has tasked the blood thirsty Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu to put an end to the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip and secure the release of the remaining captives now that he has killed the most wanted warlord, Yahya Sinwar, the Political Bureau Chief of the Palestinian Resistant Movement, Hamas.
Blinken made the appeal when he visited Israel as part of efforts to end genocide that has seen over 42,000 Palestinian killed and almost 100,000 injured, 70 percent of those killed being women and children.
Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller gave the insights in a statement detailing what transpired during the visit to Tel Aviv.
“Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met today with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem. The Secretary underscored the need to capitalize on Israel’s successful action to bring Yahya Sinwar to justice by securing the release of all hostages and ending the conflict in Gaza in a way that provides lasting security for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
“He discussed the importance of charting a new path forward in the post-conflict period that allows Palestinians to rebuild their lives and provides governance, security, and reconstruction for Gaza. The Secretary emphasized the need for Israel to take additional steps to increase and sustain the flow of humanitarian assistance into Gaza and ensure that assistance reaches civilians throughout Gaza.
“The Secretary and Prime Minister also discussed Lebanon and ongoing efforts to reach a diplomatic resolution along the Blue Line that includes full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and allows civilians on both sides of the border to return to their homes.
“They discussed the need to deter further regional aggression from Iran and its proxies, including ongoing efforts by the United States and its partners. The Secretary reaffirmed the United States’ ironclad commitment to Israel’s security”.
