OIC condemns Israeli strikes on Lebanon, warns of danger of expanded war
The OIC called on the Security Council to assume its responsibility of maintaining international security and peace, to start implementation of resolution 2735 on immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and to intervene urgently to bring about sustainable stability in Southern Lebanon through full and comprehensive implementation of relevant Security Council resolutions, including resolution 1701 and putting a final stop to Israel’s occupation and its continuing violation of international law

JEDDAH – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli military aggression on Lebanon since Monday, 23 September 2024.
The aggression has killed over 500 people, injured 1645 others, and destroyed public amenities and properties.
The OIC considered this an extension of ongoing Israeli war crimes and a violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
The OIC also assured of its support for efforts to safeguard Lebanon’s security, stability, and sovereignty over its territories, and held Israel, the occupying power, fully responsible for this dangerous escalation, which threatens the security and stability of the entire region.
