Hezbollah confirms death of 10 members in pager explosion as toll rises to 11

LEBANON – The Lebanese Resistant Movement, Hezbollah has confirmed that it lost ten members in the pager explosion in Lebanon, just as the Lebanese health ministry said that 11 people were martyred and 4, 000 others were injured in the explosion of radio communication devices, pagers.
The ministry added that 400 of the injured people are in critical condition.
According to the Iranian news agency, IRNA, Hezbollah declared Hussein Ali Alauddin nicknamed “Zakaria” and Hossein Ayub Faqih nicknamed “Baqer” were martyred on the way to Quds.
The movement also announced the martyrdom of Mohammad Mehdi Ali Ammar nicknamed Zulfiqar, a member of the Lebanese parliament.
The names of other members of Hezbollah who were killed include Abbas Bilal Manem, Hussein Ahmad Mentash nicknamed “Salah”, Mohammad Zakaria Abbas nicknamed “Hydera”, Najib Abdul Hossein Alauddin nicknamed “Ali Mazloum” and Hassan Mohammad Yassin.
Hezbollah also confirmed the martyrdom of two more members, Hasan Ahmad Muhammadand Youssef Ghazat Alwa.
They were killed by explosions after the Israeli regime sabotaged communication equipment earlier embedded with explosives before being supplied to Lebanon.
According to Russian news sources, Mossad allegedly used mass messages to heat up the battery, which then detonated the plastic explosive.
The report said three types of pagers were targeted, Motorola LX2, Teletrim and Gold Apollo Rugged Pager AR924
These pagers according to reports are still widely used among civilians in Lebanon, where cell networks are not as common for a variety of reasons. Another source said the pagers were supplied by Taiwan and laced by Mossad with the explosives before they were shipped into the Lebanese market.
