Police begin probe after Russia’s spy whale was found dead in Norway

NORWAY – The renowned Russian Spy whale nicknamed Hvaldimir has been killed by unknown gunmen in Norway.

According to animal rights group, NOAH, a beluga whale, suspected to be a Russian spy, was killed by gunfire.

Noah said the whale “Hvaldimir,” was found dead with multiple bullet wounds.

The group said a complaint was then filed with Norwegian police for a criminal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the whale.

The whale first appeared in Norway in 2019, wearing a harness that sparked suspicions of Russian training, deployed for reconnaissance mission.

The whale has also been found in other parts of Europe.

The Norwegian Veterinary Institute is said to be conducting an autopsy on the whale. The result is expected within three weeks.
