APC moves to stop members from hunger protest, distributes N100,000 each across wards

LAGOS, Nigeria -The All Progressive Congress, APC has stepped up the antics to stop members of the party from taking part in the nationwide “End Bad Governance”, kicking off August 1 to August 10, 2024.
Apart from the warning which some party chieftains have been sounding in markets across Lagos State, for people not to take part in the nationwide protest, the part has been holding meetings in every ward across Lagos State and throughout the federation persuading members not to join the strike in return for N100,000 each, which will be transferred straight into their bank accounts.
Our correspondents witnessed some of the meetings across Lagos, stressing that members were informed that government will deposit N100, 000 into their bank accounts if they desist from joining the imminent protest.
At Ward B in Ajiran in Eti-Osa for instance, over 500 party members gathered late into the evening where they were given refreshments with the assurance that they will get the cash transfer.
A source told our correspondent that some party men also visited some traders to intimate them about the largesse from the party if they give an undertaking that they will not take part in the protest.
