TEL AVIV – The Yemenis have taken their support for Palestine a lot further following their successful attack against military sites in Tel Aviv, the hitherto impenetrable  zone in Israel. The attack bypassed radar before hitting sites near an American building in Tel Aviv.

This is the first time that any strike is hitting Tel Aviv bypassing radar and hitting targets in Tel Aviv since October 7 when Israel launched an all out war against Gaza.

Speaking after the attack, Spokesman of the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said overnight, a UAV which it assessed was launched from Yemen, infiltrated from the sea to our west, and hit a building in central Tel Aviv.

“As a result of the impact, a civilian was killed and eight civilians were lightly injured. We express our condolences to the family and wish the injured a speedy recovery”, he said.

He said that after initial inquiry and based on the findings at the scene,  it is likely that this was a Samad-3 UAV, which we assess flew from Yemen to Tel Aviv.

“The Samad-3 is an Iranian weapon that was likely upgraded to extend its flight range. Iran supports, funds, and arms its proxies in the region, in Gaza, Judea and Samaria, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, as seen last night. The threat of UAVs is a threat we have faced since the beginning of the war on all our borders.

“So far, many dozens of UAVs have been launched from Yemen alone, most of which were intercepted or shot down while on their way or before they infiltrated Israeli territory. Most of them were intercepted by an American task force under the command of U.S. CENTCOM (U.S. Central Command), and the rest were intercepted by Israeli Air Force planes or defensive systems”, he said.

However, Spokesman for the Yemeni Armed forces said  the drone that bypassed all Israel’s radar systems was not the Samad drone as the IDF spokesman said but a newly unveiled drone named after the city it was set to target, the Yaffa drone.

According to the Yemeni Armed Forces occupied Yaffa is an unsafe zone, promising to expand their operations.

There are reports that the coming days will be harsher for Israel as long as the aggression on Gaza continues.”

According to reports, the Yaffa drone was developed after Arab countries intercepted Yemeni weapons that targeted “Eilat,” noting that it is locally-made and travels 2,000 kilometers. The drone is said to be equipped with advanced jamming and stealth systems and the Yemenis have a large stockpile of such weapon.
