Next in the second spot is Captain America: The Winter Soldier which rewarded producers with $259, 766,572 from 3,938 viewing centres where it was exhibited. Ironically, Captain America: The Winter Soldier was also put together by Buena Vista.
The Lego Movie which grossed a total sum of $257,760,692 from 3,775 viewing centres throughout the year is number 3. The Transformers: Age of Extinction, produced by Paramount Pictures made it to the top 4 best film for the year 2014.
The film recorded sales totaling $245,439,076 from 4,233 film viewing centres around the world to be among the 4 best films for the year. Ironically, the film grossed the highest sum in the US box office in the first week, opening with $100,038, 390.
Maleficent put together by Buena Vista made it to number 5. The film grossed a total sum of $241,362,835 to emerge as the 5th best film to hit box offices worldwide for the year.
X-Men: Days of the Future past put together by Fox Pictures made $233,921,534 to hit the number 6 spot on the chart. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is number 7 best film for the year. The film grossed $208,522,352 from 3,969 theatres where it was exhibited during the year.
The Amazing Spiderman 2 produced by Sony Pictures is the 8th best film for the year. The movie made $202,853,933 from 4,324 viewing centres worldwide after opening the week with $91,608,337.
At number 9 is the Godzilla, put together by Warner Brothers. The film grossed $200,676,069 to occupy that spot for the year. 22 Jump Street, rounded up the top 10 spot after hitting $191,719,337 from 3,952 viewing centres around the world.
