Children in Gaza hold symbolic funeral for over 13,000 others killed, call for ceasefire

GAZA – Death for children in Gaza is gradually becoming a norm. There is hardly a day that passes without the Israeli occupation forces killing and maiming scores of children.

So far, over 13,000 children have been killed by Israel out of over 31,000 Palestinians now dead in revenge for the October 7 attack by Hamas which led to the death of 1, 139 Israelis.

Children who are lucky to evade the bullets and bombings, die as a result of starvation and lack of medicine in the light of blockade by the Israeli occupiers.

Parents are tired of weeping and wailing for the children they brought into the world  to take care of them in old age.

Their preoccupation now remains prayer for these innocent children in the midst of failure by the international community  to act  since the United States has pushed humanity aside and continue to veto successive resolutions at the United Nations to end this bloodbath.

Palestinian parents now look up to God to save them from this brutal onslaught by Israel.

Egged on by this stark reality, the surviving children in Rafah, now under attack by Israel organised a symbolic funeral for children who have died either of hunger, the bullets or bombing and demand an end to the war before Ramadan.
