LEKKI, Lagos, Nigeria – The movie, A Tribe Called Judah, has continued to break new grounds, since it was released in December , 2023.

The movie, which broke new records in the annals of Nigerian filmmaking, grossing over N1 billion in just two weeks of release has now hit the N1.349 billion.

A Tribe Called Judah, still showing on cinema is the story of a wayward lady that got married to different men from various tribes in Nigeria, all producing a child each for the lady,Shinene, Ejiro, Emeka, Musa and the rest.

Jedidah, played by Funke Akindele is pictured as a poor lady managing to bring up her five boys, most of them becoming wayward to survive the harsh economic reality.

The challenge of taking care of their   mother is down with kidney problem took them into robbery.

The movie is a stark portrayal of the Nigerian spirit, the rich not willing to assist the poor and the charade put up by many who are into money laundering to cover up their tracks.

Very commendable is the acting prowess of Funke Akindele, displaying all the traits of a lady down with kidney problems, the unusual movement of her upper and lower lips to go with a superb make up.

It’s an award winning movie.
