KANO, Nigeria – Confusion has trailed judgement of the Court of Appeal, which affirmed judgement of the lower court sacking the Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf.
The Appeal Court had upheld judgement of the lower court which upheld All Progressive Congress, APC’s Nasir Gawuna as winner of the election.
But the truth about the judgement came into public glare when the Certified True Copy CTC of the judgement showed otherwise.
According to the CTC obtained by the New Nigerian Peoples Part, NNPP showed that the Appeal Court, upheld Abba Yusuf of the NNPP as winner of the election and awarded cost on the sum of N1 million against the defendant/respondent and in favour of the appellant.
The judgement was signed by Moore Aseimo Abraham Adumein, Justice Court of Appeal.
Reacting to this exposure, Senator Shehu Sani warned against setting Nigeria on fire.
“Kano;the Court of Appeal CTC judgement in circulation clearly affirmed the victory of the serving Governor.
“The Kano matter is a grenade and the pin must be handled with the utmost care. Our democracy cannot survive when political interests overrides our moral and constitutional obligations to uphold the cause and the tenets of justice”, Shehu Sani said.
