IDF: We have eliminated 5 Hamas commanders

TEL AVIV – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has said it succeded in eliminating at least five Hamas commanders since the radical hit Israel on October 7, 2023, killing at least 1400 Israelis.

“Since the beginning of the war, the IDF, directed by the ISA, eliminated five commanders of the Hamas Aerial Array”, the IDF said in a statement.

It added that the Hamas Aerial Array operates a variety of weapons against the State of Israel.

“The array took a significant part in the attack against Israel at the start of the war, and in recent days the IAF has eliminated a number of commanders in the array.

“Commanders of the array who were eliminated are: Murad Abu Murad – Commander of the Hamas Aerial Array in Gaza City Moed’ Abdel Rahman – Head of Hamas Training Portfolio in Gaza City Othman Hamdan – Aerial Defense Officer of Hamas’ Zabra Tel Elhua Battalion Machud El Rifi – Hamas Weapons Supply Manager in Gaza City Essan Shalouf – Head of Training for the Hamas Aerial Defense Array in northern Gaza

“In addition, a surface-to-air missile launching cell was eliminated”, the statement added.

In a separate statement, the Chief of the General Staff said, eliminating Hamas was the mission.

“We want to bring Hamas to a state of full dismateling- its leaders, its military branch, and its working mechanisms.

“That is why we are striking, and eliminating high ranking commanders and members, destroying infrastructure, and acting with great determination.

“The path is a path of unrelenting attacks, damaging Hamas everywhere and in every way. We are well prepared for the ground operations in the south. The Southern Command has quality operational plans.

“There are tactical, operative, strategic considerations that have provided additional time, and troops who have more time are better prepared, and that is what we are doing now.

” I am fully aware of the commitment shown in all of the IDF, both in regular and reserve duty, and it is displayed everywhere.”
