LAGOS, Nigeria – A Nollywood actor, Pa Charles Olumo has made it to 100 years and he is being celebrated by fellow veterans like Adebayo Ayo Salami and the rest.
The veteran began acting in 1953 in Lagos playing various roles in films made in Yoruba language.
Till date, he is known for his role in Soworo Ide, a film made by the cinematographer, Tunde Kelani.
Pa Charles Olomu also featured in Taxi Driver, Jagun, Amin, Orun, Aiye, Jayesinmi and Igbo Dudu to mention a few.
He was a mechanic operating at the Tinubu Square Lagos before he sojourned into acting.
In his tribute to him, Adebayo Salami who described him as a highly respected actor said the fact that he is 100 and kicking means a lot to the industry.
“This means a lot to us in the movie industry. May everything good not turn bad in your hands, Pa Charles Olumo”, he prayed.
