Ukraine shells Russian occupied territory kills child, 82 year old man
DONETSK – Ukraine continued its counteroffensive against Russia in occupied territories in Donetsk’s Krovsky district, shelling area that resulted in the death of civilians.
According to the Mayor of the City, Alexey Kulemzin, an 82 year old man and a 10 year old child and another person were killed during shelling.
“According to him, the man was born in 1941, while the child was born in 2013 were wounded as a result of shelling of the Kirovsky district,” the mayor wrote on the social media.
Meanwhile, Russian stormtroopers took a number of strongholds in the fortified areas of Armed Forces of Ukraine in the settlement of Novomikhailovka in the Maryinka area, inflicting heavy injury on the men on the ground.
The Russians hit Ukrainian stronghold with unmanned MT-LB filled with explosives and seized a cache of weapons and ammunitions in the captured area.
They also burnt out their positions Avdeevka and Zaporozhye. Meanwhile, two Ukrainian militants combing houses in villages in search for civilians, threatening them with grenades where taken down by the Russian soldiers.
However, as the offensive continues, the Ministry of Defense has said that the success of the counteroffensive should not be measured by the number of captured settlement.
According to Anna Malyar, Deputy Minister of Defence, there are more criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of combat operations.
However, the Russian serviceman credited with destroying Leopold tank in the area, Andrey Karavtsov is reported to have been awarded I million rubles by the Russian ministry of defence.
