LAGOS, Nigeria – The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Usman Alkali Baba has ordered the arrest of Afrobeat singer, Seun Anikulapo Kuti, who was captured on a viral video slapping and assaulting a policeman on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
In the video, a very furious Seun Kuti was seen physically slapping and shoving the officer who refused to retaliate, asking him, “You de craze, You de mad”.

In a statement, Police Spokesman, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the IGP condemned the incident and ordered that the culprit be brought to book and prosecuted speedily.
“The IGP has equally orered a speedy and full investigation into the remote and immediate causes and prosecution of the suspect accordingly”, he said.
The IGP assured Nigerians that acts of contempt/disdain for symbol of authority will not be tolerated while offenders of such hideous crimes will be surely brought to book.
