Moro congratulates Prelate-elect, Archbishop Oliver Abah

BENUE, Nigeria – The Senator representing the people of Benue South Senatorial District, Comrade Patrick Abba Moro has congratulated Archbishop Oliver Abah, an Idoma-born religious leader, on his emergence as Prelate-Elect of Methodist Church Nigeria.
The Senator’s congratulatory message is contained in a statement signed by his Special Assistant (SA) on Print & Electronic Media, Ameh Comrade Godwin.
According to the statement, “Archbishop Abah, a native of Otukpa in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State defeated his closest rival, the Most Reverend Akindeko of Ogun Arch Diocese in a keenly-contested election with 90 votes against 87 to emerge winner.
“He is also the first person from northern Nigeria to attain such position in Methodist Church in Nigeria. Senator Moro believes that Archbishop Abah’s emergence is a testament of his dedication, service to God and humanity.
“He believes that such a position comes with huge responsibilities and therefore urges the new Prelate-elect to continue to live a life of ‘open hearts, open minds and open doors’, which is the watchword of the Methodist Church.
“He urges the cleric to continue to intercede for Benue South, Benue State and the nation at large to come out of her present challenges.”
Moro, who is the Benue South senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), seeking to return to the Red Chamber of the National Assembly for a second term in 2023, wished Archbishop Abah a huge success in his new office.
