    Coronavirus kills 2558 patients in US as death toll drops in Europe

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 599 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to  239, 019. But out of the 239, 019 cases,  213, 180 patients have been treated and discharged, while  3, 027 other patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 22, 812 active cases of Coronavirus, while 3 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    NCDC:  599 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Delta – 194, Edo – 94,  FCT -80,  Kaduna – 48, Lagos – 35, Ondo – 23,  Kano – 21,  Rivers – 20,  Kawara – 20,  Ogun – 18,  Plateau – 12,  Abia – 8,  Cross River- 8,  Ekiti – 6,  Bauchi – 3;  239, 019 confirmed; 213, 180 discharged; 3,027 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.  

    There are now 282, 898,121 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5,417, 217  patients are no more, while 9,056,401,351 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United State remains the most afflicted country, reporting 53, 174, 989 total  cases and 820, 929 deaths(380, 155 new and 2558 deaths#), followed by India with 34, 808, 886 total infections and 480, 592 deaths(9195 new and 302 deaths#)  and Brazil with 22, 259, 270 total cases of Coronavirus and 618, 978 total deaths(9052 new and 181 deaths#).

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 12, 406, 697 total cases of infections, while 148, 488  patients could not make it alive(128, 883 new and 18 deaths#), followed by Russia which has documented 10, 279, 009 confirmed cases of the pandemic, while 300, 886 other patients have perished(20, 957 new and  903 deaths#) and Turkey which has reported 9, 367, 369  all time cases, while 81, 917 others could not make it alive(32, 176 new and 184 deaths#).

    France remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 9, 430, 829 total infections and 124, 174 deaths(179, 808 new and 290 deaths#), followed by Germany, which has documented 7, 067, 574 total infections, while 111,223 patients have passed on(39, 176 new and  413 deaths#) and Iran with 6, 188, 857  total infections, while 131, 474 patients have passed on(2128 new and 40 deaths#).

    Argentina remains the 10th country most hit by the pandemic, now with 5, 514,207 all time infections, while 117, 085 others could not make it alive(33, 902 new and 19 deaths#) and South Africa which has documented 3,424,534 total cases of infections, while 90,854 total cases have passed on(7216 new and 25 deaths#) .
