LAGOS, Nigeria- Not less than 96,000 Nigerians have signed a petition to the International Criminal Court, ICC requesting the trial of President Muhammadu Buhari for the Lekki toll gate massacre of October 2021.
The petition is domiciled at CHANGE.ORG
Already the Panel Set up by the Lagos State Government has declared the incident a massacre and that the Office of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu invited the military to the scene but the person who ordered the shooting still remains a mystery till date.
Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has already declared the leaked report which has Justice Doris Nkwobi of the Lagos High Court as chairman and Ebun Olu-Adegboruwa, SAN among others as member as fake news.
While the Presidency has said the President will address areas that concerns it in the report.
Speaking on the petition, Reno Omokri, aide to former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan alleged that the Buhari government paid powerful Indian hackers to bring down the petition but that it has now been restored.
“Buhari is afraid because the International Criminal Court has taken a strong interest in this petition”, adding that by God’s graces, Buhari will join the former Liberian War Lord, Mr. Charles Tailor, Omar el-bashir, Habib Bourguiba, Hosni Mubarak, and Hissene Habre to retire to prison instead of Daura his home town for allegedly ordering the Lekki massacre.
