50 KILLED, OVER 300 WOUNDED IN KABUL BOMB BLAST

KABUL, Afghanistan – At least 50 people have been killed and about 319 others injured when a bomb conveyed in a vehicle exploded near German embassy in the Afghan capital, Kabul.




The explosion according to BBC occurred at about 08:25 am in the early morning hours as workers and businessmen set out for work.

So far, the Taliban has denied involvement in the attack even as authority deploy ambulances to convey those injured to the hospital. Several vehicles were also destroyed in the attack.

Aljazeera described the targeted area as high profile, fast-paced with security formations, embassies and NGOs.

“Alot of people come into this area”, an eye witness said.

Basir Mujahid a spokesman for Kabul police, told Reuters news agency the explosion had taken place close to the German embassy but added it was “hard to say what the exact target is”.
