CRETE – The illegal interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla has outrage many globally forcing many to hit the streets in protest in Germany, Sweden, Spain, all over the world.
The Sumud Flotilla, comprising 42 boats from 54 countries with about 500 activists on board including the Swedish actress, Greta Thunberg was about 160 nautical miles from Gaza on the Mediterranean Sea when Israeli Navy struck.
Reports from those on board suggest that the Israeli occupation navy forces are using active aggression on the Global Sumud Flotilla.
“Florida vessel has been deliberately rammed at sea. Yulara, Meteque and others have been targeted with water cannons”, the reports say, with activists daubing the illegal attacks on unarmed humanitarian ships a war crime.
All passengers on board are unharmed.
Meanwhile 30 boats are still sailing strong on their way to Gaza, just 46 nautical miles away, despite the incessant aggressions from the Israeli occupation navy.
The Global Sumud Flotilla is heading to Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid and break the Israeli blockade on Gaza.
So far 13 boats have been stopped and about 78 activists abducted.
Among those arrested is Greta Thunberg.
