KIEV, Ukraine – President of Ukraine, Mr. Volodimir Zelenskky has said he will not recognize any Ukrainian territory occupied by Russia as a Russian state.
Zelenskky made the remarks in addition to what he earlier said about his telephone talk with President Donald Trump.
He said his conversation with Trump also centered on steps to bring peace closer and the possibility of a complete ceasefire now, and the security of “our infrastructure”.
The talks also centered on efforts to return Ukrainian children home, negotiations between the US and Russia, about the non-recognition of our state of the occupied Ukrainian territories by Russia.
He said a visit by President Trump and his team to Ukraine would be important – to understand the state of affairs in Ukraine and see with his own eyes how people live.
He said Russia has continued to attack Ukraine.
“Every day and every night – a hundred or more drones, and missile attacks do not stop. With each such launch, the Russians show the world their true attitude to peace.
“But always, even in the most difficult conditions, our people can count on the immediate support of the State Emergency Service, police, doctors, utility services and everyone who helps to dismantle the rubble, put out the fire, restore the destroyed and, most importantly, save and protect life”, he said.
This night, Zelenskky added, the Russians launched almost 200 “shaheeds” and simulator drones.
“A massive attack on the Kirovohrad region – 10 wounded, including four children, damaged housing, a church and infrastructure.
Thank you to everyone who is currently working on the ground and helping to overcome the consequences of Russian terror. Thank you to those who are always on duty, on the front lines of saving lives. To each and every one whose work is a pillar for all of us, allowing us to continue to fight and live despite everything.
