AWKA Anambra – Amid concerns and speculations that the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) might not have an executive, the chapel has officially sworn in a new leadership to oversee its affairs for the next three years.

The inauguration ceremony took place during the chapel’s second meeting of the year at Gellys Garden in Awka, Anambra State.

The event was marked by a peaceful atmosphere, and every member in attendance expressed their joy and enthusiasm.

The event was graced by several distinguished individuals, including Ms. Betty Onuchukwu, Vice Chairman of the NUJ, Anambra State Council, and Mr. Okechukwu Obeta, a former Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Anambra State. Obeta took the opportunity to advise the new leadership to work harmoniously with the state NUJ for the greater good of the profession.

A notable moment during the event was the admission of Mr. Obinna Unaeze from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), who was recently transferred from Niger State.
