Tinubu signs  N54.99 2025 budget into law

 

ABUJA, Nigeria – President Bola Tinubu today signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill made up of a total of  ₦54.99 trillion into law.

He signed the budget into law in front of some members of his inner cabinet at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The 2025 budget appropriation was passed at  joint sitting of the  National Assembly on Thursday, February 13, after  the lawmakers increased it from the initial ₦49.7 trillion submitted by the President to N54.99 trillion

Breakdown of the budget shows that  Statutory Transfers gulped ₦3.65 trillion, while  Recurrent Expenditure took  ₦13.64 trillion.

Capital Expenditure is  ₦23.96 trillion, while Debt Servicing took  ₦14.32 trillion
