Portable arraigned, granted bail

ABEOKUTA, Ogun, Nigeria – Controversial and comic musician, Habeeb Okikiola Olalomi better known as Portable was earlier today arraigned before a magistrate court, sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Portable was comic in appearance, dressed more like characters in children cartoon shows, accompanied by his spouse.
He was arraigned by the Ogun State Police Command on five count charge of conspiracy, assault, restriction, armed with cutlass and gun and conduct likely to cause breach of public peacel. He entered a no guilty plea.
His lawyer, Olutatoyin Ayodele thereafter applied for his bail noting that her client is now very remorseful and has learned his lesson, adding that the offence committed are bailable
Magistrate O.L. Oke granted him bail in the sum of N2 million with a surety in like sum and adjourned the matter to March 5 for hearing.
Portable was declared wanted by the police on February 18 in connection with an alleged assault on three officials from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA), following a court order.
He later surrendered himself to the police in Lagos on Wednesday and was handed over to the Ogun state police command and presented in court to face charges.
