Hamas releases 2 Israeli captives to ICRC in Khan Younis

KHAN YOUNIS, West Bank – The Islamic Resistant Movement Hamas in Khan Younis has released two Israeli captives in the prisoners exchange deal as part of the ceasefire agreement.

Those released today are Over Kalderon and Yarden Bibas.

They were released to the International Committee of the Red Cross, ICRC in Khan Younis.

Earlier, the Al-Qassam Brigade deployed heavily to Khan Younis as preparation intensified ahead of the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has confirmed the release.

“The Two Returning Hostages Have Just Been Transferred to IDF and ISA Forces in the Gaza Strip

“The two returning hostages are currently being accompanied by IDF special forces and ISA forces on their return to Israeli territory, where they will undergo an initial medical assessment.

“The commanders and soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces salute and embrace the returning hostages as they make their way home to the State of Israel” IDF Spokesperson said and asked everyone to respect the privacy of the returning hostages and their families.

The Spokesman added that the IDF is prepared to receive an additional hostage in the near future.

After the initial statement, the IDF noted that the returning civilian hostages, Ofer Kalderon and Yarden Bibas have crossed the border into Israeli territory accompanied by IDF and ISA forces.

“The returning civilian hostages are currently on their way to an initial reception point in southern Israel”, the IDF said.
