Trade between Russia and China now in excess of $245 billion in 2024

MOSCOW – Trade between Russia and China has advanced beyond the ordinary in the year 2024 following hundreds of sanctions from Europe and the United States all motivated by Russia’s incursion into Ukraine.
Quoting Chinese data, the Kremlin said the total figures for the volume of trade between the two countries is nearly $245 billion.
Russia is currently the primary trade partner for China and now stands as number 5 among China trading partners.
The Kremlin said despite the negative influence Russia was able to achieve strong new performance indicators in trade.
“Although, we have only drawn the balance for the first 11 months, our trade showed a growth of over seven percent, reaching over $220 billion.
