BEIRUT, Lebanon – The Islamic Resistant in Lebanon, Hezbollah has announced that it will not accept any justification for a single day’s extension or any delay when the 60-day period expires.
Hezbollah Secretary General, Sheikh Naomi Qassem who spoke on Monday said Israel must withdraw after the 60-day period expires.
“Israel” cannot remain an occupier in the face of this proud and steadfast people, who cannot be defeated or have their land permanently occupied.
“Israel” must withdraw after the 60-day period expires, and we will not accept any justification for a single day’s extension or any delay in the deadline.
He said President Joseph Aoun will not grant “israel” any advantage, and that no one in Lebanon will accept extending the aggression against Lebanon.
“Any consequences resulting from a delay in withdrawal are the responsibility of the United Nations, the U.S., France, and “israel”.
“The continued occupation is an assault on Lebanese sovereignty, and everyone—the people, the army, the state, and the resistance—is responsible for confronting this occupation.
“We are facing an occupation that persists in attacks and refuses to withdraw. The resistance has the right to act as it deems appropriate in terms of the form, nature, and timing of the confrontation”, he said adding that Hezbollah is investigating the reason it lost so many leaders in a short time.
He said the victory in Gaza is a victory for the Palestinian people, for all the region’s nations that supported it, and for all the free people of the world who endorsed and stood by it.
He added that the goal of Al-Aqsa Flood operation was achieved, and “israel’s” project to destroy the resistance and Hamas has been defeated.
“We thank dear Yemen for its sacrifices, Iraq with its people, religious authority, and mobilized forces, and Lebanon, which offered the master of the martyrs of the nation, Sayyed Nasrallah”, adding that the aggression against Lebanon, like that against Gaza, was an unrestrained attack supported by the U.S. and the West.
“The U.S. and “israel” sought to eliminate the resistance, with “israel” deploying five divisions comprising 75,000 soldiers and officers, using excessive force and brutality to achieve this goal.
“The resistance, in all its forms, responded with legendary steadfastness and a martyrdom-driven determination from the fighters and mujahideen.
“Everyone witnessed who the heroes of the resistance were. Our people endured great sacrifices, and the resistance emerged cohesive and strong, regaining control. Within ten days, gaps were filled, and we reclaimed our presence with the momentum provided by the leader of the nation’s martyrs, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
“Resistance operations intensified, and the “israelis” advanced only a few hundred meters on the frontlines due to the steadfastness of the fighters. Our displaced citizens, through their solidarity, supported the resistance, while the Lebanese people across regions and sects showed loyalty.
“Israel” requested a ceasefire, and we agreed alongside the Lebanese state. This is a victory”, he said and that the deterrence capability the group has accumulated has made “people believe that our military strength ensures the sustainability of deterrence.
“Our audience did not expect us to lose this number of leaders in such a short period, with such breadth and scope.
“Informational exposure, the enemy’s control over communications, artificial intelligence, and its air force were key factors in the strikes directed against us.
“In light of this significant exposure, we are conducting investigations to draw lessons and insights”.
