Trump nominates Marco Rubio as Secretary of State

FLORIDA – President- elect of the United States, Donald J Trump has nominated Marco Rubio as his Secretary of State.

In a statement announcing the nomination, Trump described Rubio as a highly respected man and a very powerful voice of freedom.

” He will be a strong advocate for our Nation and a true friend to our allies, a fearless warrior who will never back down to our adversaries,” he said.

He added tha he looks forward to working with Marco Rubio to make America and the world safe and great again.

Reacting to his nomination,Marco Rubio said it is tremendous responsibility to lead the Department of State, adding that he is honoured by the trust President Trump has placed in him.

“As Secretary of State, I will work everyday to carry out his foreign policy agenda.

” Under the leadership of President Trump, we will deliver peace through strength and always strive to put the interests of Americans and America first before all else.

“I look forward to earning the support of my colleagues in the U.S Senate so that the president has his National Security and Foreign Policy team in place when he takes office on January 20”, Marco Rubio said.
