Trump nominates Matt Gaetz as Attorney General of the United States

FLORIDA – President-elect, Donald J Trump has nominated Matt Gaetz as Attorney General of the United States.  In his statement announcing him, Trump said Matt Gaetz who is from Florida is a deeply gifted and a tenacious attorney  trained at the William & Mary College of Law.

He said Matt Gaetz has distinguished himself in Congress through his focus on achieving desperately needed reform at the Department of  Justice.

“Few issues in America are more important than ending the partisan weaponisation of our justice system”, he said, adding that Gaetz will end weaponisation of our government, protect our borders, dismantle criminal organisation and restore Americans’ badly shattered faith and confidence in the Justice Department.

He added Matt Gaetz played a role in defeating the Russian Hoax in his oversight function as House Judicial Committee, which exposed the alarming, systematic  and government corruption and weaponisation.

“He is a champion of the constitution and the rule of law. Matt will root out the systematic corruption at the DOJ and return the department to its true mission of fighting crime and upholding our democracy and  constitution”, he said, adding that it is necessary to have honesty, integrity and transparency at the DOJ.

“Under Matt’s leadership, all Americans will be proud of the Department of Justice once  again”, Trump said.

Reacting Matt Gaetz said he will be honoured to serve as Attorney General of the United States.
