Israel kills 27 civil defence staff, injures 76 others in Lebanon

 

LEBANON – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has killed at least 27 staff of Civil Defence in Lebanon and injured 76 others since it launched what it tagged limited operation in Southern Lebanon.

A terse statement issued by Lebanese Civil Defence showed that till date the IDF has destroyed  or damaged at least 32  civil defence centres in Lebanon and destroyed 45 operational vehicles since Israel began the war on the Islamic Resistant Forces, Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the IDF said it has received a report that a United Nations Peace Keeping Force UNIFIL post in the area of Ramyeh in southern Lebanon was hit, causing a number of injuries and damage to the post.

It added that an IDF review determined that Hezbollah fired a rocket that hit the UNIFIL post.

He said the rocket was fired from the area of Deir Aames, one of many fired by Hezbollah in a barrage launched at Israel at 09:50 this morning, the IDF said.
