Sen. Monday Okpebholo is Governor-elect of Edo State

ABUJA, Nigeria – Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, Edo Central Senatorial District’s lawmaker and Chairman of Senate Committee on Procurement is the Governor-elect of Edo State.

As the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, he scored 291,667 valid votes in a peaceful, free, fair, credible, and keenly contested 2024 governorship election of 21st September, 2024, to defeat the PDP and the LP candidates in that order.

Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 247, 274, while Olumide Akpata of Labour party scored 22, 763 votes.

Okpebholo would be sworn into office for a four-year term at a date to be announced soon.
