Israel releases pictures of IDF soldiers killed in Rafah ambush

GAZA – The Israeli Defence Forces, IDF has released names and pictures of four soldiers killed by the Palestinian Resistant Movement, Hamas in Rafah, Southern Gaza.
According to the IDF, the affected soldiers are Captain Daniel Mimon Toaff, Staff Sergeant Agam Naim, Staff Sergeant Amit Bakri, and Staff Sergeant Dotan Shimon.
The IDF Spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said an officer and two soldiers from the ‘Shaked’ Battalion, Givati Brigade, were severely injured during combat in the southern Gaza Strip.
“Furthermore, two soldiers from the ‘Shaked’ Battalion, Givati Brigade, were moderately injured. Additionally, an officer from the Givati Reconnaissance Unit was severely injured during combat in the southern Gaza Strip”, he added, stressing that the injured soldiers were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment and that their families have been notified.
According to sources in Gaza, the four soldiers were killed in the explosion of a booby-trapped building.
They were said to have entered the building as part of the combing operations, and after entering, the booby-trapped building exploded.
“Before they entered, the procedures and means designated for detecting booby-trap and explosive devices were activated, but they failed to detect the booby-trapped building, so the force entered”, and died in the process.
