EKPAN, Delta, Nigeria – The Delta State Police Command has arraigned 123 fraudsters, operating from  HK , hustlers kingdom in Effurun, Delta State.

They were arraigned at Ekpan Police Station in Uvie Local Government  after they were rescued by the military.   Speaking during the arraignment, Public Relations  Officer of the Delta State Police Command, Mr. Bright Edafe said the suspects often recruit agents whom they wharehoused at the Hustlers Kingdom, HK  and provided with laptop and internet facility to do HK business. He said HK business is internet fraud that requires recruits to go to facebook to display wealth they don’t usually have.

He said thereafter they are able to lure unsuspecting victims from across the country to Effurun under guise that they will teach them Forex and crypto business.

He said that upon arrival, the suspects are beaten as a welcome package and are thereafter given laptops to defraud people through their Facebook accounts.

He said one of the victims who came from Kaduna narrated that he used the laptop given to him for internet fraud to contact his parents in Kaduna who informed a relative in the Nigerian Army that stormed the Hustlers Kingdom to liberate him.

He said one of them, Gbolahan who came from Ibadan declined to take part in fraud being an Alfa but that he was not allowed to leave the enclave until the military stormed the apartment.

He told police that he came into contact with them in his quest for N150,000 to travel to Egypt for Arabic study and was invited to come over to Warri, where he would be taught Forex and cryptobusiness but ended up in HK.

Edafe said some of the victim told him they were not allowed to come out once they enter the building and only allowed to make calls between 5pm and 9am.  He said the victims are usually teenagers, between the age of 17 to 19 who often dream of living in affluence.
