Telegram Chief Pavel Durov faces indictment for terrorism, money laundering

FRANCE – There is no reprieve for Chief Executive Officer of Telegram, Pavel Durov  following his arrest and detention at the Le Bourget Airport,  Paris.

Recall that he was detained on his arrival aboard a private jet from Azerbaijan.

Durov who has been on Federal watchlist was detained at the airport as part of preliminary investigation into his alleged crimes.

The Telegram Chief who holds French passport is facing indictment for alleged drug trafficking, production of offensive child content, money laundering and related offences according to media reports.

Meanwhile, the value of Telegram’s cryptocurrency TON has dropped by over 5 percent since news of his arrest in France hit the internet.
