PDP suspends Samuel Ortom, 3 others

LOKOJA – The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has suspended four principal members for antiparty activities.
The three party chieftains suspended are the former governor of Benue State, HE, Samuel Ortom, Hon. Isaac Mffo, Hon Azua Ashongo and Hon. Bemgba Iortyom.
In a statement signed by Chief Joseph Nyam, the party said they were suspended for putting the party into disrepute during the ward congress held on 27th July, 2024 at the 276 ward headquarters.
According to PDP, the affected individuals led and abated snatching of election materials at their various local governments resulting in non-conduct of the congress at Buruku, Gboko, Ushongo, Guma, Tarka, Kwande and Ohimini Local Government Areas.
“These acts constitutes anti-party activities, consequently, upon the above you are suspended for one month in the first instance and recommended to the state disciplinary committee for further adjudication”, Dr. Nyam said in the statement.
