BADEN   WURTTEMBERG – Police in Germany shut down a reading by far-right extremist author Martin Sellner in Neulingen in the western state of Baden-Württemberg late on Saturday.

They issued him with a restrainig order to prevent criminal offences, according to a statement.

Sellner wrote on his Telegram channel that the police had “busted” his reading and issued him with a ban for the entire town.

The police said that since the event was announced, there had been “continuous and close communication with the respective authorities and the cities as well as districts” in its zone of responsibility.

In consultation with the municipality of Neulingen, north-west of Stuttgart, a temporary ban on remaining in the area was handed over in the evening immediately after the start of the private event.

Sellner then left the venue and complied with the order, police the statement said. Some other participants stayed put.

Sellner, who headed the far-right Identitarian movement in Austria, has been touring Germany to read from his book “Remigration.”

Far-right extremists use the term ‘remigration’ to refer to the departure of large numbers of people of foreign origin from Germany, including by force.
